Three and a half years later isn't too late to get a room done.....is it????
When I moved in to my house I decided that my boys' bathroom would be done in lime green, turquoise, and coral. I found a shower curtain, towels, and few other accents with the intention of putting something on the walls as well. So here I am finally completing the project after some inspiration came to me from a friend's blog to paint picture frames I already have around the house. To see Davi's cute project check out her blog, Little Band of Brothers, by clicking here.
So to start my project I gathered some picture frames that I had in my hall closet, some hooks that I had purchased a while back at a cute store in Visalia CA, circle shape wall stickies that had picked up on clearance at a Home Goods store, design paper from my large scrapbooking supply, and some paint that I have had in the garage for a while. I knew my $1 paint that I picked up from the Home Depot in the section where they discount the "messed up" colors would pay off eventually!!

I started by taking down the towel bar on the wall to give me a fresh, blank wall to work with. Then I started in painting the frames and hooks with the green and turquoise paint that I had.

Once the painted frames had time to dry, I printed a few pictures of the boys off my computer and cut the paper to fit the openings to get a variety of different designs to accent the room.
Once this was complete it was time to arrange all the items on the wall.
So with only a few hours of work and a few supplies I already had around the house..........a new bathroom wall design was created!!
The boys will no longer have to look at a blank wall like I began with.......

......but now have a fun, colorful wall to enjoy!

The room looks great - enhanced with your frame project!! What I like the best about the room though...even though it's kid-fun, it doesn't say no adults allowed. Great job!!

I love the way the boy's bathroom project turned out. Those are such great bright colors. Very creative (especially from a math teacher...ha)
Only a Mother could say that. Anyway, I know when you finally start a project, it does get done. It is so fun that you are blogging now. Keep the blogging going, you are great at it.
Cute and bubbly! Very nice and I bet your boys love it.

The boy's bathroom looks super, Monica. Love the colored frames and especially the sticky dots. The staggered towel hooks is a neat idea, too. Isn't it great to have a room "finished"? I'm still trying to find out. Ha! Have fun on your projects and enjoy the remaining days of summer.
Hugs,
Sally
That is so fun and funky. I love it. The circles with the frames is awesome. Three years is not too long at all. Great Job.
