Let's Go Skate to Celebrate that Eli is 8!!!

I can't believe my baby is turning 8 already!

He went to a skating party at the beginning of the summer and he had never been skating before. He was determined to learn how to skate that day and he did! When we left he said that he wanted to have his birthday party and the skating rink. He also now has a different answer when you ask he what he wants to be when he grows up.......he has always said a fireman or a policeman......but now he wants "to be a worker at a skating place".

We decided to have the party at Skateland a little earlier than his actual birthday because school would be starting. He decided that even though he was having a skating party he still wanted a Ben 10 cake because that is one of his favorite shows and toys to play with right now!

As soon as the kids got to the skating rink they started skating and having a great time..........

Throughout the skating time there were games to play and races to be part of. My dad was skating with the kids and participated in the games and races as well! Who says you have to be a kid to skate and be part of the action!

They also got all the kids out there to do the Cha Cha Slide....what fun!

We had a great party area down at the end of the hall that was set up where the kids had all the drinks they wanted and pizza to eat

Eli didn't want to even stop to eat because he was having so much fun skating!

Skateland cleared the skate floor and called Eli out to the middle to make the announcement that it was his birthday and played the "Happy Birthday" song. They gave him a balloon, a picture, and a free pass to come back and skate another day.

Then we all joined in to sing Happy Birthday to him.......

Wyatt, Eli, Sean, Kaden, Davis, Tyler, CJ, Josiah

he made a wish and blew out his candles..........

Everyone enjoyed the chocolate cake and used up the rest of the glow sticks while Eli opened his gifts.

Everyone skated until they closed down. They were exhausted after skating for 3 hours but they all  had a great time.
